My name is Brandon Newell and I serve as a real estate agent with Portico.  I love what I do,

especially when it comes to helping our clients achieve their real estate goals.  I am married to

my amazing wife Rachel, and we have twin girls, Faith and Kaylee.  I attended the University of

Washington where I played baseball and majored in Business Communications.  Following my

time at the UW, I played professional baseball for the New York Mets for 5 years and served as

the NW Scouting Supervisor for the Milwaukee Brewers for 10 years.  When I am not serving our

real estate clients, I really enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, and cooking.  One

fun fact about my family:  we lived in Alberta, Canada for 12 years where I helped run a baseball

academy and worked in the Oil and Gas industry.  I’m looking forward to meeting you all and

helping you with any of your real estate needs.

I have had my hands in the restorative approach to old homes for over a decade; restoring several myself and even teaching home building to high school kids as we built a home for Habitat for Humanity in a Geometry class. Along with that I have been helping clients buy and sell homes as a broker for most of that time. My approach is based on deep relationships that allow me to counsel clients as we find a home that can become a place of security and blessing for them. After serving as a public educator for years and having family members and close friends in law enforcement, I am deeply committed to those people who devote their lives to the protection and flourishing of our communities. I consider it an honor and a joy to know and serve these individuals and their families as we find a house for them that can become a home and restorative place of blessing.

In my free time, I spend it with my family and friends. A big part of my life is the outdoors, I love to wake surf and take my Jeep up in the hills. I have a small farm with chickens & goats.

With this new change and direction in my life, I have been warmly welcomed with open arms into the Berkshire Family in 2018; and I am looking forward to the challenge! I have been passionate about real estate since my earliest years growing up. I always knew that I wanted to chart a path helping others and found my true calling in real estate serving clients and guiding them through one of the biggest investments of their lives. I feel incredibly blessed to work with amazing clients who become friends and a strong part of my network.
While I was born in Wenatchee, I grew up in Western Washington. I found myself drawn back to my hometown for so many different reasons. I enjoy spending my weekends on the Columbia River, hiking through Leavenworth, or enjoying the local food scene. There is a lot to love about the valley, and where there is passion, the selling becomes easy.

Personal Note

Kate loves to joke that it wasn’t a hard sell when her now-husband, Ben, asked her to stay in Walla Walla after they graduated from Whitman College. She loves this small town and the kindness she finds everywhere within it. Her enthusiasm for the community is a key part of why she enjoys helping others build a life here. Kate and Ben have one daughter. Kate is an avid reader, loves to play strategy board games, sew, knit, and visit Disneyland.
